I'm glad you dropped by, having guests is so great.
I'd offer you biscuits, some coffee or tea,
But sadly the internet just won't let me!
So instead I'll explain what this site is about.
It's all about poems! Did you not work that out?
I've been writing for you since 2003,
Since then lots of others have copied off me.
But I'm the best girl for the job anyway.
I know that's big-headed, but it's what they ALL say.

Over here - they're impressed as you can clearly see!
I've been churning out poems since I was quite small.
From birthdays to funerals, I've written them all!
My family and friends loved my words, which is why
I started the Factory, thought I'd give it a try.
The past seven years have gone by unsurpassed,
Word spread about me, and it spread very fast!
Now I've written more poems than I've eaten hot dinners
(But don't worry, I did need to get a bit thinner).
I've done poems for birthdays and saying goodbye,
They all made you laugh, and a few made you cry.
I've done best man speeches - some naughty, some nice,
And even some funeral ones, once or twice.
I've made grandmothers smile and turned grandads bright red,
Left grooms wishing they'd picked another best man instead!
I've done lots of poems for folks leaving work,
From the managing director to the humble shop clerk.
So I'm sure I can write just the thing that you're after.
Why ask someone else? There could be nothing dafter!
